Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai offering the broadest hospitality job markets. Opportunities are available in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, events and luxury services. UAE culture combines Arab traditions, Islamic values and a highly international population; respectful dress and behavior are expected, especially in public and religious settings. Life is modern and convenient, with excellent transport, shopping, beaches and year-round sunshine, although summers are extremely hot and housing can be expensive. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored residence visa, work permit and medical examination; employers commonly arrange the main process. Bring authenticated documents when requested, and confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance and gratuity terms before relocating. Abu Dhabi is generally family-friendly, safe and quieter than Dubai.
