Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a varied coastal lifestyle, and Ras Al Khaimah is known for beaches, mountains, desert landscapes and a quieter pace than Dubai. Hospitality, tourism, restaurants, retail, construction, aviation and logistics provide many job opportunities. The culture is welcoming and internationally diverse, while Islamic customs should be respected through modest public behaviour, awareness during Ramadan and sensitivity around alcohol and photography. Lifestyle costs vary; employer-provided accommodation and transport can make resort jobs more attractive. Most overseas employees require an employment visa sponsored by their employer, who normally arranges medical checks, Emirates ID processing and residency formalities. Bring authenticated qualifications when requested and confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, leave and probation terms before relocating. Ras Al Khaimah is generally more relaxed and affordable than Dubai, though a car or organised transport is useful.
