Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular Gulf destination with major coastal cities, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It offers strong opportunities in aviation, technology, finance, engineering, logistics, hospitality and construction, with Dubai particularly active for international digital and cloud professionals. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage and a highly diverse expatriate population. Daily life can be modern and convenient, with excellent transport, shopping, restaurants and beaches, although summers are extremely hot. Housing and schooling can be expensive, especially in Dubai, so benefits should be reviewed carefully. Foreign employees generally need an employer-sponsored work and residence visa; the company usually manages the process after a formal offer. Dependants may be sponsored subject to salary and documentation requirements. New arrivals should arrange passport, degree and marriage or birth certificates for attestation where required, and follow local laws and customs.
