The Project Officer supports Group Security through project coordination, business planning, reporting, documentation, stakeholder communication and administrative control. The role typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong project-management and organisational skills, confidence with Microsoft Office and reporting systems, and excellent written and verbal English. Experience in security, aviation, risk, compliance or business support is advantageous. The successful candidate is expected to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, follow confidential procedures, prepare clear reports, coordinate meetings and deadlines, and work professionally with departments across the Emirates Group. Discretion, attention to detail, problem-solving ability and a practical understanding of governance and operational processes are important.
Emirates is one of the world’s leading international airlines and the principal carrier of the United Arab Emirates. Based in Dubai, the airline operates a large wide-body fleet and connects the city with destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia. It is part of the Emirates Group, which includes aviation, airport services, catering, travel and other related businesses. The organisation is known for its multicultural workforce, premium service, extensive global network and strong focus on operational safety, security and customer experience. Employees may work in highly regulated environments where confidentiality, consistency and cooperation are essential. Dubai-based roles often offer exposure to international projects and colleagues from many countries, together with benefits that may include medical cover, annual leave, travel privileges and other employment allowances, depending on the position and contract.
The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the broadest range of professional opportunities. Aviation, logistics, tourism, finance, technology, construction, healthcare and government services are major employment sectors. The culture combines Islamic traditions, local Emirati heritage and a highly international expatriate community. Life is modern and convenient, with excellent roads, shopping, restaurants and leisure facilities, although summers are extremely hot. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored residence visa; the company normally arranges the work permit, medical examination and Emirates ID process. Dependants may be sponsored subject to salary and visa rules. Before relocating, check accommodation costs, insurance, schooling and contract benefits. Public behaviour, dress and alcohol regulations should be respected. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are generally safe, but living expenses can be high, particularly for housing.
