Shangri-La Group is a major luxury hospitality company founded in Asia and known for its warm, thoughtful service. It operates hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets under brands including Shangri-La, Shangri-La Resorts, Traders and Kerry Hotels. Shangri-La Singapore is a well-established luxury hotel set among extensive tropical gardens, offering guest rooms, suites, restaurants, meeting facilities and recreational amenities. The group places strong emphasis on genuine hospitality, cultural awareness, professional development and teamwork. Employees generally work in a diverse, international environment and may have access to training, staff benefits and career mobility within the wider hotel network. Its Singapore operations serve leisure travellers, business guests, families, groups and events, creating opportunities across rooms, food and beverage, sales and support departments.
Singapore is a compact, modern island city with strong opportunities in hotels, tourism, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare and retail. Hospitality employees benefit from an international workforce, efficient public transport and a multicultural society influenced by Chinese, Malay, Indian and Western traditions. Lifestyle is convenient and safe, with excellent food, shopping, parks and nearby Southeast Asian travel, although rent and daily expenses can be high. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin or other Asian languages may be helpful in guest-facing roles. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship for a work pass, commonly an Employment Pass or S Pass, subject to government eligibility requirements; approval is not automatic. Candidates should secure a written offer before relocating, check accommodation costs, understand healthcare coverage and confirm working hours and benefits. Singapore does not generally provide a separate hospitality-specific relocation visa.
