Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts is a leading luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, with hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. The group is recognised for warm Asian hospitality, personalised service and high-quality accommodation, dining, wellness and event experiences. Shangri-La Hotel Singapore is an established luxury property set amid extensive gardens near Orchard Road. Employees typically work in a diverse, service-focused environment where guest satisfaction, professional standards, teamwork and staff development are strongly emphasised.
Singapore is a compact, highly connected city-state with strong employment opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, healthcare, education, retail and logistics. The culture is multicultural, combining Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, with English widely used at work. Lifestyle is convenient and safe, though accommodation and daily expenses can be high. Public transport is efficient, healthcare and public services are well developed, and the city offers excellent food, shopping, parks and regional travel connections. Foreign employees generally need employer-sponsored permission to work, most commonly an Employment Pass for professional roles or an S Pass for eligible skilled positions; approval depends on salary, qualifications, experience and government criteria. Relocating candidates should arrange a valid work pass before starting employment and budget carefully for rent, deposits, transport and insurance.
