Working in Philippines

The Philippines offers hospitality opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, Bohol and other resort destinations. Jobs are available in hotels, restaurants, cruise support, tourism, diving and events, with English widely used in the workplace. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented and welcoming, and teamwork is highly valued. Island living can offer beaches, outdoor activities, affordable local food and a relaxed social lifestyle, although transport, internet and healthcare can be less convenient outside major cities. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly arranged with support from the hiring company; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Relocating staff should confirm accommodation, meals, transportation, medical coverage, service-charge policies and contract terms before accepting an offer. Costs vary significantly: resort islands may be more expensive than provincial areas, while Manila provides broader professional and lifestyle options.
