About the employer

Its portfolio includes luxury hotels, resorts and city properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other destinations. Shangri-La is known for warm Asian hospitality, personalised guest service, high-quality accommodation and extensive facilities such as restaurants, spas, meeting venues and recreational experiences. In Mauritius, Shangri-La Le Touessrok Resort & Spa is a premium coastal resort located on the island’s eastern shore, offering accommodation, dining, wellness, golf and water-based activities. The group places strong emphasis on service excellence, employee development, teamwork and creating memorable experiences for guests. Working in Mauritius

Mauritius offers employment opportunities in luxury tourism, hospitality, finance, technology, education, healthcare, retail and marine activities. English is widely used in business, while French and Mauritian Creole are common in daily life. The culture blends African, Indian, European and Chinese influences, reflected in its food, festivals, music and welcoming communities. Lifestyle options include beaches, hiking, diving, water sports, golf and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere, although traffic and accommodation costs can be significant near major resort and business areas. Foreign nationals generally need an appropriate work or occupation permit before starting employment; applications are normally supported by the employer and depend on the role, qualifications and salary. Candidates should confirm current requirements with Mauritius authorities or the employer. Relocating staff should budget for housing, transport, healthcare, insurance and shipping, and clarify accommodation, meals, flights and benefits in the employment contract.
