Working in Philippines

The Philippines is an archipelago offering hospitality opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Boracay, Palawan, and other resort destinations. Hotels and resorts regularly recruit chefs, restaurant staff, housekeeping teams, engineers, and guest-service professionals, with stronger demand during peak travel seasons. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, and community-minded, while English is widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle varies from busy urban living in Manila to a slower beach-oriented pace on islands such as Boracay or Palawan. Costs are generally lower than in many international destinations, though accommodation in major resort areas can be expensive. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored Alien Employment Permit and appropriate work visa before starting employment; requirements should be confirmed with Philippine authorities. Relocating candidates should budget for housing, transport, medical insurance, document authentication, and local registration. Domestic flights and ferries connect the main islands.
