Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal city living, beaches and modern resort destinations. Job opportunities are strong in hospitality, tourism, engineering, construction, aviation, retail, technology and finance, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage and a highly international population; respectful dress and behavior are expected. Lifestyle options range from luxury dining and shopping to desert activities, water sports and cultural attractions. UAE nationals generally do not require an employment visa, while expatriates need employer-sponsored work authorization, medical checks and an Emirates ID. Relocating employees should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance and family sponsorship arrangements. The climate is very hot in summer, with mild winters. Living costs vary considerably, and Dubai is usually more expensive than other emirates.
