The Fire Life Safety Coordinator supports fire prevention, emergency preparedness and life-safety compliance across the residences. Requirements typically include experience in fire safety, security, engineering or hotel operations; knowledge of Indonesian fire regulations and emergency procedures; and relevant fire-safety or occupational-health certifications. The successful candidate should be able to conduct inspections, maintain safety records, coordinate drills, train residents and colleagues, investigate incidents, and work closely with engineering, security and local authorities. Strong communication, organization, attention to detail and the ability to respond calmly during emergencies are essential. Experience in a luxury hotel, resort or residential property is advantageous.
Shangri-La is a leading luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong, operating hotels, resorts and residences across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and Africa. The company is recognized for its personalized Asian hospitality, high service standards and strong focus on guest comfort and safety. Its properties range from urban business hotels to beach resorts and branded residences, with teams working across accommodation, food and beverage, wellness, engineering and guest services. Shangri-La generally provides structured training, international operating standards and opportunities for career development. Benefits for Indonesia-based roles may include meals, uniforms, accommodation or housing support, medical coverage, service charge and annual leave, depending on the property and employment contract.
Indonesia offers opportunities in luxury hotels, resorts, branded residences, tourism, construction, engineering and safety, particularly in Bali, Jakarta, Batam, Lombok and the Riau Islands. Bali is popular with international workers because of its beaches, temples, artistic traditions and relaxed lifestyle, although traffic and housing costs can be high in resort areas. Local culture values respect, community, modesty and religious customs; learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is useful. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and the appropriate work authorization, commonly a work permit and limited-stay residence visa, before starting employment. Requirements and costs vary, so candidates should confirm arrangements with Shangri-La and Indonesian immigration authorities. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, meals, insurance and flights, but these should be confirmed in writing.
