Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with strong hospitality, tourism, construction, aviation, retail and facilities-management job markets. Dubai and Abu Dhabi offer the widest range of hotel and engineering opportunities, while Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah provide resort-based roles. The culture is modern and international, but conservative values, respectful dress and consideration for Islamic customs are important. Most expatriate employees live in company accommodation or rented apartments and enjoy excellent transport, shopping, beaches and year-round sunshine, although summers are extremely hot. Employers normally arrange an employment entry permit, medical testing, Emirates ID and residence visa; candidates should not work on a tourist visa. UAE nationals may receive additional career-development and Emiratisation support. Relocation packages can include accommodation, transport, meals, insurance and annual flights, but these benefits should be confirmed in the written offer.
