Shangri-La Group is a leading luxury hospitality company founded in Hong Kong and recognised internationally for warm Asian hospitality. Shangri-La properties are known for personalised service, strong attention to detail, distinctive dining venues and comprehensive guest experiences. The group promotes professional development, teamwork and service excellence, with opportunities across hotel operations, food and beverage, culinary, sales and corporate functions. Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, events, retail, finance, technology and tourism. The culture blends Chinese traditions with international influences, and Cantonese is widely spoken, while English is common in professional and hospitality settings. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, nightlife, hiking trails and beaches. Housing is expensive, so many employees share accommodation or live in districts outside the main business areas. Foreign nationals generally need an appropriate employment visa before starting work; the employer normally sponsors the application and must demonstrate a genuine position and suitable salary. Applicants should prepare passports, qualifications, references and relevant experience documents. Hong Kong has a subtropical climate, busy urban living and a fast-paced work culture. New arrivals should budget for deposits, transport, healthcare and daily expenses, and confirm whether meals, accommodation, insurance or service charge are included in the employment package.
