Its manufacturing network produces medicines under rigorous quality and regulatory standards, with strong emphasis on patient safety, ethical conduct, continuous improvement, and environmental responsibility. Working in Japan

Japan offers opportunities in pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, technology, engineering, logistics, and hospitality. Hikari is in Yamaguchi Prefecture, on Japan’s main island of Honshu, and provides a quieter coastal lifestyle than Tokyo or Osaka. Living costs are generally moderate, although a car may be useful for commuting and daily errands. Japanese workplace culture values punctuality, teamwork, respect for procedures, and careful communication. Foreign applicants usually need an employer-sponsored work visa matching their occupation; contract employment may require appropriate residence status and documented qualifications. Relocating involves securing housing, registering at the local municipal office, enrolling in health insurance and pension systems, and arranging tax and banking matters. Basic Japanese is highly beneficial, especially in manufacturing, safety, and daily life. Confirm visa eligibility, contract terms, transportation, housing support, and shift arrangements directly with Takeda before accepting an offer.
