The Service Executive supports daily branch operations at UOB Pondok Indah, serving customers, processing banking transactions, handling account and product enquiries, resolving service issues, and identifying suitable opportunities for additional products. Candidates are generally expected to have a diploma or bachelor’s degree, customer-facing or banking experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a professional service mindset. Familiarity with banking procedures, digital channels, compliance requirements, and basic English is advantageous. The role requires integrity, accuracy, teamwork, a willingness to meet service or sales targets, and the ability to work effectively in a busy branch environment.
UOB Indonesia is part of United Overseas Bank Limited, a major Singapore-based financial institution with operations across Southeast Asia and selected global markets. The bank provides personal and business banking, wealth management, commercial banking, transaction services, and financial products for corporate and institutional clients. In Indonesia, UOB serves consumers, entrepreneurs, companies, and multinational businesses through branches and digital channels. Following its acquisition of Citigroup’s consumer banking business in Indonesia, UOB has expanded its customer base and product capabilities. The bank emphasizes customer service, responsible growth, digital innovation, risk management, and professional development. Its Indonesian headquarters and many key branches are located in Jakarta, including the South Jakarta area, where employees typically serve a diverse and commercially active customer population.
Indonesia offers varied career opportunities, especially in Jakarta and Java, including banking, technology, manufacturing, tourism, logistics, education, and consumer services. Jakarta, on Java, is the country’s main business hub and offers the widest range of professional jobs, although commuting can be difficult and living costs are relatively high. Indonesian culture is generally community-oriented, respectful, and diverse, with strong regional traditions and religious influences. Lifestyle options range from urban malls and restaurants to beaches, mountains, and quieter island communities. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work visa and stay permit; working without the correct authorization is not permitted. Relocating employees should confirm sponsorship, contract terms, tax treatment, health insurance, and accommodation support before arrival. Learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is highly useful. Bali offers tourism and international communities, while Java is usually the practical choice for corporate careers.
