The Service Executive will support customers at UOB’s Pondok Indah branch by handling account services, transactions, inquiries, and service requests accurately and professionally. Candidates typically need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer-service orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to work with banking systems and procedures. Previous experience in branch banking, customer service, or financial services is advantageous. The role expects a polished and reliable professional who can identify customer needs, explain products clearly, follow compliance and operational controls, protect confidential information, and contribute to a positive branch experience. Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and functional English may be expected.
UOB Indonesia is part of United Overseas Bank Limited, a major Singapore-based financial institution with operations across Southeast Asia and other international markets. The bank provides personal banking, business banking, wealth management, corporate banking, and financial-market services to individuals and organizations. In Indonesia, UOB serves customers through branches, digital channels, and relationship-led banking solutions. Following its acquisition of Citigroup’s consumer businesses in Indonesia, UOB has expanded its customer base, product capabilities, and market presence. The organization emphasizes service quality, responsible banking, risk management, integrity, and employee development. A Service Executive supports the front-line branch experience and plays an important role in building customer trust while ensuring transactions and processes comply with the bank’s standards and Indonesian regulations.
Indonesia offers varied opportunities across its major islands. Java, especially Jakarta, has the strongest concentration of banking, technology, corporate, retail, and professional-services jobs. Bali provides opportunities in tourism, hospitality, wellness, and digital work, while Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi support energy, agriculture, logistics, mining, manufacturing, and growing regional businesses. Indonesian culture values hospitality, respect for hierarchy, community, and religious diversity; workplace communication is generally polite and relationship-focused. Jakarta offers extensive services and transport but has heavy traffic and higher living costs. Bali and other islands offer a more relaxed lifestyle, although infrastructure and specialist services may be limited outside major cities. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, while remote-work or tourist status does not automatically authorize employment. Relocation planning should cover housing, healthcare, insurance, tax, local registration, and language preparation.
