The Front Desk Receptionist welcomes guests, manages check-ins and check-outs, handles reservations and payments, answers questions, coordinates with housekeeping and other departments, and helps resolve guest concerns. Candidates should have hotel front-office or customer-service experience, strong communication skills, professional presentation, basic computer knowledge, and good command of English. French is highly advantageous in Mauritius; additional languages are welcome. The successful candidate is expected to provide warm, discreet and efficient service, remain calm under pressure, work flexible shifts including weekends and public holidays, and consistently uphold Four Seasons standards of guest care.
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is a globally recognized luxury hospitality company operating hotels, resorts and private residences across many countries. The company is known for highly personalized service, elegant properties and a strong focus on employee development and guest satisfaction. Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita is a luxury resort on the island’s eastern coast, set among beaches, lagoons, gardens and golf facilities. Its teams serve international leisure travelers and private-residence guests, with departments covering rooms, food and beverage, wellness, recreation and events. Employees are generally expected to demonstrate discretion, polished communication, cultural awareness and genuine hospitality. The resort environment can offer training, international service experience, staff benefits and opportunities to progress within the Four Seasons network.
Mauritius offers employment opportunities in luxury hotels and resorts, tourism, food and beverage, aviation, finance, technology, healthcare and education. Its culture blends African, Indian, European and Chinese influences, with English widely used in business and French and Mauritian Creole common in daily life. The lifestyle is relaxed and coastal, with beaches, hiking, water sports, markets and a diverse food scene, although resort areas can be expensive. Foreign employees generally need an approved work permit or occupation permit arranged with the employer before starting work; requirements depend on nationality, salary and role. A written offer, passport, medical documents and proof of qualifications may be required. Relocating staff should confirm accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, taxes and return-flight provisions with the resort. Mauritius has warm weather year-round, but cyclones and humid summers can affect travel and outdoor activities.
