This internship supports MAS Holdings’ Group Sourcing and Supply Chain teams with supplier coordination, purchasing analysis, order tracking, data management, and reporting. Applicants are generally expected to be undergraduates or recent graduates in supply chain management, business, logistics, finance, engineering, or a related discipline. Strong Excel and analytical skills, attention to detail, communication ability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn are important. The candidate is expected to work professionally with internal departments and suppliers, manage information accurately, meet deadlines, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, international apparel environment.
MAS Holdings is one of South Asia’s leading apparel and textile companies, headquartered in Sri Lanka. The group supplies innovative clothing, intimate wear, sportswear, and wearable solutions to many global brands. Its operations span design, product development, manufacturing, sourcing, technology, and supply chain management, with facilities and partnerships across several countries. MAS is widely known for combining advanced manufacturing with sustainability, ethical employment practices, and product innovation. The company employs a large international workforce and offers opportunities across technical, commercial, operational, and corporate functions. A Group Sourcing and Supply Chain internship would provide exposure to supplier management, global purchasing, apparel production networks, and coordination between different business units.
Sri Lanka offers growing opportunities in apparel, manufacturing, information technology, tourism, logistics, finance, and professional services, with Colombo as the main business centre. The island has a warm climate, diverse communities, strong family-oriented traditions, and a culture influenced by Sinhalese, Tamil, Muslim, and colonial heritage. Living costs are generally lower than in many Western countries, although Colombo housing and imported goods can be expensive. Public transport is affordable, while traffic can be busy. Foreign nationals usually need an appropriate employment or residence visa sponsored or supported by the employer; tourist visas do not permit employment. Interns should confirm visa eligibility, accommodation, insurance, taxes, and work authorization directly with MAS Holdings and Sri Lankan authorities before relocating. English is widely used in corporate workplaces.
