The group is known for refined service, distinctive properties and its signature philosophy of Asian hospitality. Shangri-La operates several brands serving luxury, upscale and lifestyle markets, and supports a broad range of careers in hotel operations, corporate functions, sales, marketing and guest services. Its Hong Kong operations are closely connected to the company’s regional identity and global communications activities. Working in Hong Kong

Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, retail, aviation, education and professional services. Its culture blends Cantonese traditions, international influences, excellent food and a fast-paced business environment. Lifestyle highlights include efficient public transport, safe neighborhoods, vibrant nightlife, hiking trails, beaches and easy travel to mainland China and the wider region. International employees commonly use an employment visa sponsored by their employer; applicants generally need a confirmed job, suitable qualifications and proof of relevant experience. Dependants may usually apply for dependant visas, subject to immigration approval. Relocation costs can be high, particularly for housing, and apartments are often compact. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, healthcare coverage, banking and a local identity card after approval. Cantonese is widely spoken, while English is common in business and hospitality. Hong Kong is a city rather than a traditional resort island, but it includes numerous surrounding islands and coastal areas.
