This six-month contract role supports Shangri-La’s rewards and benefits strategy across the organisation. Responsibilities are likely to include compensation benchmarking, salary review cycles, incentive schemes, benefits administration, HR analytics, policy development and advice to senior stakeholders. Candidates should have substantial experience in compensation and benefits, ideally within a large, regional or multinational organisation. Strong knowledge of Hong Kong employment practices, market data, HR systems and remuneration principles is expected. The successful candidate should be commercially minded, highly analytical and discreet, with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Experience leading projects, managing confidential data and working independently in a fast-paced environment will be important.
Shangri-La Group is a Hong Kong-headquartered hospitality company operating luxury hotels, resorts and related businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other international markets. The group is recognised for its Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts brand, known for personalised service, premium accommodation, dining, meetings and wellness facilities. Its portfolio also includes other hospitality and lifestyle properties, supported by corporate functions such as human resources, finance, technology and commercial operations. Shangri-La employs a large, multicultural workforce and places emphasis on service standards, colleague development and guest experience. A corporate rewards and benefits position would typically work with senior leaders and HR teams to ensure competitive, consistent and commercially sustainable employee packages across the organisation.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, technology, retail, professional services and regional corporate functions. Its culture blends Cantonese traditions with international influences, and English is widely used in business, although Cantonese or Mandarin can improve everyday integration. Life is energetic and convenient, with excellent public transport, dense urban neighbourhoods, diverse food, shopping, nightlife and easy access to beaches, hiking trails and outlying islands. Housing is expensive, so candidates should compare salary, accommodation and commuting costs carefully. Most overseas professionals need an employment visa sponsored by their employer. Approval generally depends on a genuine vacancy, suitable qualifications and experience, and a salary consistent with local market levels. Employers may assist with relocation, flights, temporary accommodation or insurance, but packages vary. Hong Kong is well connected internationally and suits people comfortable with a fast-paced, compact city lifestyle.
