Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is a federation of seven emirates, rather than an island, with major hospitality opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, airlines, tourism companies, and events businesses regularly recruit international staff. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly diverse expatriate population; modest dress, respectful behaviour, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle options range from beaches and shopping to desert excursions, dining, and vibrant nightlife, although costs can be high, especially in Dubai. Most foreign employees require an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit; medical checks and Emirates ID registration are normally part of the process. Employers may provide accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, and annual flights. Candidates should verify contract terms, benefits, probation rules, and recruitment fees before relocating.
