Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest range of hotel, engineering, facilities and tourism jobs. The country combines modern cities, desert landscapes, beaches and strong international communities. Life is convenient and generally safe, though housing, schooling and transport costs can be high. UAE culture values hospitality, family, modest public behavior and respect for Islamic traditions; English is widely used in workplaces. Employers normally arrange an employment entry permit, medical examination, Emirates ID and residence visa, subject to approval and labor regulations. UAE Nationals may receive additional career support through Emiratisation programs. Relocating employees should confirm accommodation, transport, health insurance, annual leave and end-of-service benefits in writing. Public transport is strongest in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, while driving is common elsewhere. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor facilities and air-conditioned workplaces are important.
