About the employer

SATS Ltd is a Singapore-based provider of food solutions and gateway services, supporting airlines, airports, hospitality businesses and other customers across Asia and international markets. Its activities include airline catering, food distribution, logistics, passenger services, ramp and baggage handling, aviation security and other airport operations. SATS plays an important role at Singapore Changi Airport and works with a wide range of airlines and travel-related organisations. The company employs people in operational, culinary, engineering, customer service, corporate and specialist roles. Its early-career programmes provide opportunities to gain practical experience while learning about recruitment, aviation services and large-scale operations. Because SATS operates in a highly service-focused and regulated environment, employees are generally expected to demonstrate teamwork, safety awareness, reliability and a strong commitment to customer and operational standards.

Working in Singapore

Singapore is a compact, multicultural island city with strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, hospitality, finance, technology, healthcare and professional services. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay and Tamil are also official languages. The culture is generally efficient, international and respectful, with a strong emphasis on punctuality, safety and teamwork. Public transport is excellent, and neighbourhoods offer varied food, shopping, parks and entertainment, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Singapore citizens and permanent residents can work without an employment visa. Foreign professionals usually need an Employment Pass, S Pass or another approved work pass, depending on qualifications, salary and employer sponsorship. Trainees should confirm programme eligibility, especially if the role is designed for local early-career applicants. New arrivals should arrange suitable accommodation, health insurance and a valid work authorisation before starting employment.
