SATS Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered provider of aviation and food solutions with operations across Asia and other international markets. The company supports airlines, airports and food businesses through services such as ground handling, aircraft catering, logistics, food manufacturing, distribution and supply-chain management. SATS works with airports and aviation partners to manage passenger and aircraft-related services, while its food business produces and distributes prepared meals, ingredients and other food products for airlines, institutions and commercial customers. The organisation operates in a highly regulated, time-sensitive environment where safety, quality, reliability and operational efficiency are central. An internship at SATS can provide exposure to large-scale planning, aviation operations, food solutions, cross-functional teamwork and the use of business data to improve decision-making.
Singapore offers strong opportunities in aviation, logistics, supply chain, food manufacturing, technology, finance and regional business services. Its multicultural population creates a professional environment where English is widely used, while workplace culture generally values punctuality, teamwork, respect and practical results. The island has excellent public transport, reliable infrastructure, extensive food options and a high standard of safety, although rent and daily expenses can be high. Popular areas for living include the city centre, Queenstown, Tampines, Jurong East and the north-east suburbs, depending on workplace location and budget. International interns should check whether SATS sponsors or supports the relevant Training Employment Pass, Training Work Permit or other applicable pass; eligibility depends on nationality, institution, salary and programme details. Secure accommodation and confirm work-authorisation requirements before arrival. Singapore's tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain, so lightweight clothing and an umbrella are useful.
