The Process Improvement Intern supports SATS teams in reviewing workflows, identifying inefficiencies and developing practical improvements. Typical responsibilities may include collecting and analysing operational data, mapping processes, preparing reports, assisting with continuous-improvement projects and coordinating with stakeholders. Candidates are generally expected to be pursuing a diploma or degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, data analytics or a related discipline. Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills are important, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. An organised, curious and collaborative approach is valued, as is the ability to manage tasks carefully in a fast-paced aviation and food-solutions environment.
SATS Ltd is a Singapore-based provider of gateway services and food solutions, supporting the aviation, hospitality, cruise, food and institutional sectors. The company provides services such as airline catering, passenger and ramp handling, baggage handling, cargo operations, aviation security and food distribution. Through its international network, SATS serves airlines, airports and other customers across Asia and selected global markets. Its work combines large-scale operations, food manufacturing, logistics, technology and customer service. The company places emphasis on safety, service quality, operational reliability and continuous improvement. An internship with SATS can provide exposure to structured business processes, frontline operations and the practical challenges of managing services in a busy, highly regulated aviation environment.
Singapore offers opportunities in aviation, logistics, engineering, technology, finance, hospitality, healthcare and regional business services. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, with English widely used at work. The lifestyle is safe, efficient and convenient, supported by excellent public transport, diverse food and abundant shopping and recreation. Living costs, particularly rent, can be high, so interns often consider shared accommodation or locations outside the central area. Foreign interns normally need an appropriate work authorisation arranged with the employer, such as a Training Employment Pass or related pass, depending on eligibility, duration and programme type. Relocating is straightforward but requires valid immigration approval before starting work, suitable housing, insurance and a local bank or payment arrangement. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain.
