The AVP, Global Internal Communications will lead SATS’s internal communications strategy across markets, strengthening employee engagement, culture, leadership visibility and communication during business transformation. The role is expected to develop clear messaging, executive communications, employee campaigns, digital channels and communication plans for major organisational initiatives. Candidates would typically need a degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related discipline, together with substantial experience in corporate or internal communications, preferably in a multinational organisation. Strong writing, editing, presentation, stakeholder-management and project-leadership skills are essential. The successful candidate should be commercially aware, culturally sensitive, confident advising senior leaders and capable of managing multiple communications priorities across a global workforce.
SATS Ltd is a Singapore-headquartered provider of aviation and food solutions operating across Asia and other international markets. The company supports airports, airlines, hospitality businesses, institutions and food-service customers through services such as ground handling, inflight catering, food manufacturing, logistics and supply-chain solutions. SATS is closely associated with Singapore’s aviation ecosystem and has built a broad regional network through organic growth and acquisitions. Its workforce is multinational, making communication, collaboration and cultural understanding important across the organisation. The company’s work combines operational reliability, food expertise, customer service and technology, with increasing attention to sustainability, efficiency and digital transformation. Employees may work with airport operators, airlines, food brands and corporate functions in a fast-moving, highly regulated environment.
Singapore is a compact, safe and highly connected island city with opportunities in aviation, logistics, technology, finance, healthcare, hospitality, food services and regional headquarters. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay and Tamil are also official languages. The culture is multicultural, efficient and generally professional, with excellent public transport, reliable healthcare, abundant dining and convenient access to Southeast Asia. Housing can be expensive, particularly in central areas, so many newcomers choose suburban apartments near MRT stations. Employment Pass eligibility depends on salary, qualifications, experience and employer sponsorship; applications are normally handled by the hiring company through Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower. Dependants may qualify for separate passes subject to requirements. New arrivals should budget for rent, deposits, transport, insurance and schooling if relocating with family. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain. A valid job offer and approved work pass are required before starting employment.
