Working in Ireland

Ireland offers opportunities in logistics, technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, manufacturing, aviation, retail and customer operations. Dublin has the largest employment market, while Cork, Galway, Limerick and Shannon also have strong business and industrial sectors. Irish workplace culture is generally friendly, collaborative and informal, with good value placed on communication and initiative. Lifestyle highlights include scenic coastlines, green countryside, historic towns, music and an active social culture. Housing, especially in Dublin, is expensive and competitive, so accommodation should be arranged early. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can live and work in Ireland without a visa or employment permit. Non-EEA nationals normally need appropriate immigration permission and, where applicable, an employment permit; student permissions may limit working hours and may not cover every internship arrangement. Check official Irish immigration guidance before accepting an offer.
