The company serves industries such as technology, healthcare, automotive, retail and manufacturing. In Malaysia, DHL maintains extensive courier, freight-forwarding, warehousing and distribution operations, supporting both domestic and international trade. Malaysia offers strong opportunities in logistics, freight forwarding, aviation, manufacturing, shared services, technology, tourism and healthcare. Johor is especially attractive because of its ports, industrial zones and proximity to Singapore, while Kuala Lumpur and Penang provide larger corporate and technology markets. Malaysian culture is multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous influences reflected in food, festivals, language and daily life. Living costs are generally lower than in Singapore, although housing varies by city. Popular leisure activities include beaches, island trips, hiking, street food and shopping. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, with approval subject to immigration and expatriate eligibility requirements. Relocating workers should arrange a valid passport, employment contract, accommodation, health insurance and tax registration. Learning basic Malay is useful, while English is widely used in business. Johor offers convenient regional travel, but commuting and housing should be planned carefully.
