DHL is a global logistics and supply-chain company operating in more than 220 countries and territories. It provides express delivery, freight transportation, contract logistics, supply-chain management and e-commerce services through brands including DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Supply Chain and DHL eCommerce. In Malaysia, DHL supports international trade and domestic distribution through airports, service centres, warehouses and transport networks. The company employs people across operations, technology, commercial, customer service, engineering and security functions. Security teams play an important role in protecting employees, facilities, shipments, information and the integrity of the wider supply chain.
Malaysia offers strong opportunities in logistics, aviation, warehousing, manufacturing, technology, finance, healthcare and tourism. Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are the main corporate centres, while Penang, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak also provide substantial employment. Popular island destinations include Langkawi, Penang, Tioman, Perhentian, Redang and parts of Sabah. Urban life is convenient and multicultural, with Malay, Chinese, Indian and indigenous influences, diverse food and generally affordable services compared with many international cities. Coastal and island living is more relaxed but may offer fewer specialist jobs and services. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, with approval linked to the role and qualifications; dependants may require separate passes. Check current immigration rules before relocating. Budget for housing, transport, health insurance and school fees if applicable. English is widely used in business, although learning basic Malay helps with daily life and integration.
