The Consumables & Non-Accountables Assistant supports the procurement, inventory, storage, and distribution of office supplies, forms, equipment, and other non-cash materials used by Metrobank branches and offices. Typical requirements include a college degree or relevant vocational qualification, basic knowledge of inventory control and purchasing procedures, good computer skills, accurate record-keeping, and strong attention to detail. The candidate is expected to coordinate with suppliers and internal departments, monitor stock levels, prepare reports and documentation, follow control and safety procedures, and help ensure timely delivery of requested items. Reliability, organization, integrity, teamwork, and the ability to work under deadlines are important for this role.
Metrobank, formally Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company, is one of the Philippines' largest universal banks. Established in 1962, it provides retail and commercial banking, corporate finance, investment banking, treasury, wealth management, remittance, and digital banking services. The bank serves individuals, businesses, institutions, and government-related clients through a broad branch and digital network nationwide. Metrobank is part of the GT Capital Holdings group and is known for its significant presence in corporate and consumer banking. Its operations rely on employees across banking, technology, risk, customer service, finance, facilities, and administrative support. The company generally emphasizes professionalism, customer service, sound risk management, regulatory compliance, teamwork, and continuous process improvement.
The Philippines offers employment opportunities in banking, business services, technology, manufacturing, tourism, logistics, healthcare, and shared-service operations. Manila, Makati, Taguig, Cebu, and Davao are major employment centers, while Laguna is an important industrial and residential area near Metro Manila. Filipino culture is generally warm, family-oriented, community-minded, and English is widely used in workplaces. Lifestyle costs vary: Metro Manila is more expensive, while provincial areas can be more affordable. The country offers beaches, mountains, diverse food, and an active social life, but traffic, tropical weather, and occasional typhoons require adjustment. Foreign employees normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate visa, commonly an Alien Employment Permit and 9(g) work visa. Relocating workers should arrange housing, health insurance, tax registration, and document authentication before arrival.
