Major airport and logistics markets include Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Cairns and Darwin. Australian workplace culture is generally practical, safety-conscious and team-oriented, with emphasis on punctuality, clear communication and work-life balance. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to relaxed coastal or regional communities, with excellent beaches, outdoor recreation and diverse food and cultural scenes. Living costs, especially rent, are high in major cities. Visitors cannot usually work without the appropriate visa. Common pathways include Working Holiday visas for eligible nationalities, employer-sponsored skilled visas, and student visas with work limitations. Check current rules through the Department of Home Affairs before travelling. Relocating typically requires a tax file number, Australian bank account, accommodation, transport planning and sufficient savings for initial expenses.
