About the employer

Jumeirah Olhahali Island Maldives is a luxury all-villa resort operated by Jumeirah, the global hospitality group known for iconic properties such as Burj Al Arab Jumeirah. Located on a private island in the North Malé Atoll, the resort offers spacious villas, private pools, contemporary dining, wellness experiences, and personalized service in a relaxed island setting. Jumeirah is part of Dubai Holding and operates hotels and resorts across major international destinations. The company places strong emphasis on exceptional guest experiences, culinary quality, employee development, and high service standards. Working at Olhahali typically involves an international resort team, multicultural guests, and the operational demands of a remote island property. Employees may receive accommodation, meals, transportation, medical coverage, flights, and service-charge benefits, depending on the employment contract and position.

Working in Maldives

Maldives resort jobs are available in culinary, food and beverage, housekeeping, front office, marine activities, engineering, wellness, finance, and guest services. Many opportunities are based on private resort islands rather than local communities, with employees living in shared staff accommodation and receiving meals, uniforms, and transport. Maldivian culture blends Islamic traditions, South Asian influences, fishing heritage, and strong community values. Alcohol is generally restricted on inhabited local islands but permitted at licensed resorts. Life is scenic and relaxed, though remote, with limited shopping and entertainment compared with major cities. Foreign employees normally require a work permit arranged by the employer, along with entry clearance and approved employment documentation. Candidates should confirm contract terms, salary, service charge, accommodation, medical cover, annual leave, and return flights before relocating. Malé is the main transport and administrative hub, while resort transfers commonly use speedboats or seaplanes.
