Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular destination for hospitality professionals, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Opportunities are strong in hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering, events and luxury tourism, with experienced chefs in demand. The culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values and a highly international population; respectful dress and behaviour are important. Dubai offers modern housing, shopping, beaches, dining and year-round entertainment, though rent and summer heat can be challenging. Employers normally sponsor an employment visa, residence permit and medical examination after a formal offer. Candidates should verify that the employer covers visa costs and understand accommodation, transport, insurance and gratuity terms before accepting. Relocation usually requires passport documents, authenticated qualifications where requested and a police clearance or medical paperwork. Family sponsorship may be possible once salary and residency requirements are met.
