About the employer

TA AKTANA is a planned Luxury Collection Resort & Spa in Labuan Bajo, on the island of Flores, Indonesia. The Luxury Collection is Marriott International’s portfolio of distinctive, high-end hotels and resorts, each designed to reflect the character, heritage, and natural beauty of its destination. Located near Komodo National Park, Labuan Bajo is known for dramatic islands, clear waters, diving, sailing, and access to the famous Komodo dragons. The resort is expected to combine refined international service with local culture, Indonesian hospitality, and a strong sense of place. As a pre-opening or developing luxury property, it offers leaders the opportunity to help establish operating standards, recruit and train teams, shape dining concepts, and build the guest experience from the beginning. Employment conditions may include resort accommodation, meals, transport, medical coverage, and performance-related benefits, depending on the final contract.

Working in Indonesia

Labuan Bajo is a small coastal town on Flores, one of Indonesia’s eastern islands, and serves as the gateway to Komodo National Park. Hospitality, tourism, diving, marine activities, restaurants, transport, construction, wellness, and resort management provide the main employment opportunities. The lifestyle is relaxed and outdoor-focused, with warm weather, spectacular scenery, fresh seafood, and a growing international community, although shopping, healthcare, and entertainment are more limited than in Bali or Jakarta. Local culture is strongly influenced by Manggarai traditions, Christianity, and Indonesian customs; respectful dress and behavior are important. Foreign employees normally need employer-sponsored work authorization and an appropriate Indonesian work and stay permit before beginning employment. Employers often assist with visas, accommodation, flights, and relocation. Candidates should confirm tax, insurance, housing, internet, and rotation arrangements in writing before moving.
