Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai offering extensive opportunities in hotels, tourism, retail, aviation, events, and business services. Dubai has a modern, international lifestyle, excellent public transport, large shopping and entertainment districts, and warm weather most of the year. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a highly multicultural expatriate community; modest dress and respect for local customs are expected, especially in public and religious settings. Most overseas employees require an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit, with the employer typically arranging medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and related formalities. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, and airfare are included in the offer. Rental costs can be high, so employer benefits and location should be reviewed carefully before relocating. Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used at work.
