Working in Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands offer employment opportunities in tourism, hotels, restaurants, watersports, finance, retail, healthcare, construction, and professional services. Grand Cayman has a multicultural community, with English widely spoken and a relaxed but relatively affluent lifestyle. Residents enjoy beaches, boating, diving, snorkeling, dining, and outdoor activities, although housing, groceries, transportation, and imported goods can be expensive. Most overseas workers need a work permit or other immigration approval arranged through an eligible employer before starting work; requirements, fees, and processing times vary by role and nationality. Employers may sometimes assist with permits, flights, accommodation, or relocation, but these benefits should be confirmed in writing. A valid passport, medical checks, police clearance, references, and proof of qualifications may be required. Employees should research housing, health insurance, transportation, and contract conditions before relocating.
