About the employer

Le Méridien Al Aqah Beach Resort is a luxury beachfront resort operated under the Le Méridien brand, part of Marriott International. It is located in Al Aqah, Fujairah, on the United Arab Emirates’ east coast, between the Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman. The resort caters to leisure travelers, families, couples, groups, and corporate guests, offering accommodation, restaurants, recreational facilities, pools, a private beach, and spa services. As a Marriott property, it follows international standards for guest service, cleanliness, safety, training, and professional conduct. The hotel provides a multicultural working environment and opportunities to gain practical experience across hospitality departments. Housekeeping interns can expect structured exposure to room operations, public-area care, linen control, guest expectations, and coordination with front office and maintenance teams.

Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, offering extensive opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, aviation, retail, tourism, events, and business services. Its culture combines Emirati traditions, Islamic values, and a highly international population. Modest dress, respectful behavior, punctuality, and sensitivity during Ramadan are important. Lifestyle varies from busy city living in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to a quieter coastal setting in Fujairah, where beaches, mountains, diving, and outdoor activities are popular. Employers normally sponsor work visas for approved employees; interns should confirm whether sponsorship, accommodation, medical insurance, meals, transport, and airfare are included. A passport valid for the required period, medical checks, and official employment documentation are generally needed. Never work on a tourist visa without confirming legal requirements. Relocation costs, deposits, and local transport should be discussed before accepting an offer.
