Candidates should be confident leading a team, resolving concerns professionally, coordinating with other departments and maintaining Marriott service standards. Experience in a luxury resort and familiarity with Marriott systems would be an advantage.
JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa is a luxury beachfront resort located on Mai Khao Beach in northern Phuket. It is part of JW Marriott, Marriott International's luxury hotel brand, known for thoughtful service, elegant accommodation, wellness experiences and family-friendly hospitality. The resort offers several restaurants and bars, spa and fitness facilities, swimming pools, event spaces and access to Phuket's natural attractions. Marriott International operates a large global portfolio of hotels and provides structured training, career development and employee benefits, subject to local terms and eligibility. At this property, team members work in an international environment where guest care, attention to detail, Thai hospitality and professional service are highly valued.
Phuket is Thailand's largest island and a major destination for hospitality, tourism, wellness and marine-based work. Job opportunities are strongest in hotels, restaurants, resorts, spas, tour operations, retail and diving, with seasonal demand often increasing during the high season from November to April. Thai culture places importance on politeness, respect, calm communication and hospitality; learning basic Thai is valuable even in international workplaces. Lifestyle ranges from busy tourist areas such as Patong to quieter communities near Mai Khao, Nai Yang and Rawai. Living costs vary, with accommodation and transport generally cheaper outside central tourist zones. Foreign employees normally need a Thai Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit arranged with employer support before working legally. Relocation planning should include certified documents, health insurance, housing, transport and local registration requirements. Phuket International Airport provides convenient connections to Bangkok and overseas destinations.
