Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates offers strong opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, events, and wellness, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international population; respectful dress, punctuality, hospitality, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle options include beaches, desert activities, shopping, dining, nightlife, and a large expatriate community, although summer temperatures are extremely high. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange medical testing, Emirates ID processing, health insurance, and sometimes accommodation, transport, flights, or meals. Before relocating, confirm the full package, working hours, probation terms, gratuity, accommodation location, and visa sponsorship. The UAE is not an island, but Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah is a man-made island where W Dubai is located. Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used in workplaces.
