Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa is a luxury island resort located on Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives. It operates under Le Méridien, an international hospitality brand within Marriott International, known for design-led hotels, European-inspired style and destination-focused guest experiences. The resort offers villas, restaurants, bars, wellness facilities, water activities and event services in a tropical island setting. As part of Marriott International, it follows established global standards for guest service, employee development, workplace conduct and operational excellence. Resort employees typically work in a multicultural environment and support guests from around the world. Roles may include accommodation, meals, transportation within the resort, service charge eligibility, staff activities and other benefits, depending on the position and employment contract.
Maldives resort islands offer employment in hospitality, engineering, housekeeping, food and beverage, diving, watersports, wellness, finance and guest services. Life is scenic but structured: employees usually live in shared staff accommodation, eat at staff facilities and work rotating shifts, often six days per week. The culture is welcoming and multicultural, with Islam shaping local customs; modest dress and respect for religious practices are important when visiting inhabited islands. Resorts provide a quieter lifestyle, beautiful beaches and ocean activities, though travel to Malé can be limited and costly. Foreign workers generally need an employer-sponsored work permit and valid employment approval before starting work. The employer normally arranges visa or permit processing, airport transfer and accommodation. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, leave, medical cover, contract terms and who pays relocation costs before accepting an offer.
