About the employer

The Sira, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Lombok is a high-end Marriott International resort located on Lombok’s northwestern coast. The property is positioned as an exclusive island retreat, combining refined accommodation, personalized service, wellness, dining, and access to Lombok’s beaches and natural scenery. As part of The Luxury Collection brand, the resort is designed to showcase the character, culture, and landscape of its destination while meeting international hospitality standards. Employees work in a premium environment serving leisure travelers, couples, families, and luxury vacation guests. Marriott properties generally provide structured training, global service standards, career development opportunities, and employee benefits, although specific packages depend on the position and local employment terms. The resort’s operation is expected to place particular emphasis on cleanliness, guest experience, sustainability, teamwork, and professional kitchen and back-of-house standards.

Working in Indonesia

Lombok offers opportunities in luxury resorts, hotels, restaurants, diving, wellness, transport, construction, and tourism services, especially around Senggigi, Kuta Mandalika, and the Gili Islands. The lifestyle is generally quieter and less crowded than Bali, with beaches, waterfalls, hiking, surfing, and a lower cost of living outside major tourist areas. Sasak culture is central to the island, and respectful dress, polite communication, and sensitivity toward Muslim customs are important. Accommodation and transport should be arranged carefully, particularly in remote resort locations. Foreign nationals normally need an Indonesian employer sponsor, an appropriate work authorization, and a KITAS or other legally valid residence permit; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers usually handle much of the sponsorship process, but candidates should confirm visa, insurance, housing, tax, flights, and service-charge terms before accepting an offer.
