The Sira, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Lombok is a planned luxury Marriott International property on Lombok, Indonesia, operated under The Luxury Collection brand. The resort is positioned to offer an upscale, highly personalized experience inspired by Lombok’s natural beauty, local culture and island traditions. Its concept is expected to appeal to leisure travelers, destination weddings, incentive groups and high-end meetings. As part of Marriott International, the resort benefits from a global hospitality network, established commercial systems, international service standards and employee development opportunities. The property’s location in Lombok supports a distinctive resort proposition, combining beaches, outdoor experiences and access to local communities. Roles at the resort are likely to involve pre-opening preparation, market development, relationship building and collaboration across rooms, food and beverage, events and finance departments.
Lombok is an Indonesian island east of Bali, known for beaches, surfing, waterfalls, traditional Sasak culture and Mount Rinjani. Hospitality offers the strongest employment opportunities, particularly in resorts, restaurants, events, diving, wellness, sales and guest services. Life is generally quieter and less expensive than Bali, although transport and specialist services can be limited outside main areas such as Senggigi, Kuta and Mataram. Residents should respect local Muslim customs, dress modestly in villages, and observe community traditions. Foreign employees normally need employer sponsorship and an appropriate Indonesian work permit and stay authorization; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers typically assist with documentation, accommodation or relocation support, but terms should be confirmed before accepting an offer. Lombok has an international airport and ferry links to Bali, while internet and healthcare are improving near tourism hubs. A motorbike or local driver is often essential for commuting.
