Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a modern Gulf country offering extensive opportunities in hospitality, tourism, retail, aviation, construction, technology, and finance. Dubai has a multicultural lifestyle, excellent infrastructure, warm weather, beaches, shopping, dining, and a busy international social scene. The culture combines Islamic traditions with a highly international working environment; respectful dress and behavior are important, especially during Ramadan and at religious sites. Most overseas employees relocate through employer-sponsored residence visas. The company normally arranges the work permit, medical examination, Emirates ID, and residency processing, while employees should confirm contract terms, accommodation, transport, insurance, leave, and flight benefits before accepting. Living costs can be high, particularly for rent, although hotel packages may include accommodation and meals. New arrivals should budget carefully, carry valid passport documents, and verify recruitment agencies and visa arrangements before traveling.
