Spain’s islands, including Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, offer opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, events, tourism, wellness, retail and marine activities. Mallorca has a strong luxury hospitality and events market, with seasonal recruitment often increasing before spring and summer. Island life combines beaches, outdoor activities, relaxed social culture and excellent food, but housing can be expensive and limited in popular areas. Spanish is important for daily life, while English and other European languages are valuable in tourism. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can generally work in Spain after completing registration requirements. Non-EU applicants normally need an employer-sponsored work permit or an appropriate study, internship or residence visa before starting work. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance and visa support directly with the employer.
