Working in Spain Islands

Spain’s islands, including Mallorca, Ibiza, Menorca and the Canary Islands, offer strong employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, transport, wellness and seasonal events. Mallorca has a developed luxury-hospitality sector and generally provides good access to shops, healthcare, beaches and international transport, although accommodation can be expensive in popular areas. Island life is relaxed and outdoor-focused, with a Mediterranean climate, local festivals, Spanish and regional traditions, and a strong café and dining culture. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can generally live and work in Spain after completing registration requirements. Non-EU applicants usually need an employer-sponsored work permit or an appropriate study, internship or trainee visa before starting work. Candidates should confirm contract terms, housing, transport, insurance and visa eligibility in advance. Public buses serve many areas, while a car can be useful outside major towns.
