About the employer

It operates under the Renaissance Hotels brand, part of Marriott International, one of the world’s largest hospitality companies. The resort offers guest rooms, villas, restaurants, bars, spa facilities, pools and event spaces, serving both leisure and business travelers. Its food and beverage operation focuses on high-quality international and locally inspired cuisine, supported by professional culinary teams. Employees typically work in a structured, multicultural hotel environment with Marriott training, service standards and opportunities for career development. The property’s location provides access to Phuket’s beaches, nature attractions and tourism infrastructure while offering the quieter atmosphere of the island’s northern coast.

Working in Thailand

Phuket is Thailand’s largest island and a major tourism and hospitality destination, offering jobs in hotels, restaurants, resorts, spas, diving, retail, transport and tour operations. Mai Khao and northern Phuket are quieter and more relaxed, while Patong, Kata and Phuket Town are busier and provide more nightlife and services. Thai culture values politeness, respect for elders, modest behavior and a calm approach to communication. Living costs vary, with accommodation near popular beaches generally more expensive than inland areas. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a work permit before legally starting employment; requirements should be confirmed with the employer and Thai authorities. Employers may provide staff housing, meals, transport, uniforms, medical coverage or service charge, but these benefits vary. New arrivals should arrange valid passport documents, budgeting, local transport and suitable health insurance before relocating.
