The Food and Beverage Intern supports daily operations in restaurants, bars, banquets, and room service at Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites. Requirements typically include current enrollment in, or recent completion of, hospitality, hotel management, or a related program; good communication skills; professional grooming; basic English; and legal eligibility to undertake an internship in the UAE. The candidate is expected to assist with guest service, table setup, order taking, food and beverage delivery, cleanliness, stock handling, and teamwork while following Marriott service standards, hygiene procedures, and workplace policies. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is important. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, reliability, and genuine interest in hospitality are strongly expected.
Marriott International is one of the world’s largest hospitality companies, operating a broad portfolio of hotels and resorts across numerous brands and countries. Its properties include full-service, luxury, select-service, and extended-stay accommodation, supported by a global culture of guest service and professional development. Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites is an upscale Marriott property in Dubai Marina, offering spacious suites, restaurants, meeting facilities, leisure amenities, and views of the city and waterfront. The hotel serves business travelers, families, and international leisure guests. Employees and interns generally work in a structured, multicultural environment with training, brand standards, and opportunities to gain practical experience across hotel departments. Marriott is also known for its internal career pathways and global associate benefits, although the exact benefits available to interns depend on the property and internship contract.
The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai offering particularly strong opportunities in hotels, restaurants, events, tourism, retail, aviation, and business services. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international population; modest clothing, respect for religion, and considerate behavior in public are important. Dubai has a fast-paced lifestyle, excellent infrastructure, extensive public transport, beaches, shopping, dining, and year-round sunshine, although summers are extremely hot. Foreign interns and employees normally require a sponsor and an appropriate employment, residence, or training visa arranged through the employer or an approved institution. Do not work on a tourist visa. Employers may provide accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, or a flight allowance, but these terms must be confirmed in writing. Living costs can be high, especially for private housing, so check the full package before relocating.
