About the employer

Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa is a Marriott International resort located in Khao Lak, Phang Nga, on Thailand’s Andaman coast. The property combines beachfront accommodation with restaurants, leisure facilities, spa services, pools and event spaces, serving international holidaymakers, families, groups and business travelers. As part of the Marriott Hotels brand, the resort is expected to follow established standards for guest service, safety, accommodation quality and operational consistency. Employees typically work in a multicultural hospitality environment with opportunities to develop through Marriott’s training and internal career programs. Resort engineering teams play an important role in maintaining guest comfort, protecting facilities and supporting smooth daily operations. Benefits may include service charge, meals, uniforms, staff accommodation or transportation, insurance and employee discounts, although the exact package depends on the employment offer and local policy.

Working in Thailand

Khao Lak is a relaxed coastal destination on mainland Phang Nga rather than an island, with easy access to Phuket and nearby islands such as Similan and Surin. Hospitality, food and beverage, housekeeping, engineering, spa, diving, tours and transport provide the main job opportunities, especially during the high season from November to April. Life is quieter and less expensive than in central Phuket, with beaches, national parks, local markets and a strong outdoor lifestyle. Thai culture emphasizes politeness, respect, community and appropriate dress at temples and workplaces. Foreign workers normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and work permit before starting employment; requirements vary by nationality and position. Relocating employees should confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, salary, service charge and visa support in writing. Basic Thai language skills are useful, while English is important in resorts.
