Working in Thailand

Although this job is based in Bangkok rather than on an island, Thailand offers many hospitality opportunities in destinations such as Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, and Koh Phi Phi. Hotels, resorts, restaurants, dive centers, spas, and tour companies regularly hire chefs, service staff, managers, and wellness professionals. Thai culture values politeness, respect, family, Buddhism, and a relaxed but service-minded approach. Island living offers beaches, outdoor activities, warm weather, and a slower pace, though housing, transport, and healthcare can be more limited than in Bangkok. Foreign nationals normally need an appropriate Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit arranged with employer support; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, service charge, insurance, and relocation assistance before accepting an offer. Bangkok is generally the easiest starting point for transport, banking, and visa administration.
