Working in United Arab Emirates

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai offering the largest hospitality job markets. Opportunities are available in hotels, restaurants, resorts, housekeeping, food and beverage, engineering, events, tourism and guest services. UAE culture blends Islamic traditions, Arab heritage and a highly international expatriate community; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Lifestyle is modern and convenient, with excellent shopping, beaches, transport and entertainment, although summers are extremely hot. Most foreign employees need employer-sponsored residence and work visas; the employer generally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing and work authorization. Confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, leave and probation terms before accepting an offer. Bring verified documents and budget for initial expenses, as visa rules and employment conditions can change.
